This is my first restaurant review for the Urbanspoon. I decided to start writing reviews because very few restaurants offer healthy choices, and the ones that do it well deserve high marks.
The first restaurant I will be reviewing is the Egg Harbor Cafe in Lincolnshire Illinois, where I have been a regular for the past several years. I’ve been to other Egg Harbor locations, but this one is by far my favorite. What makes this location superior is the exceptional staff. They are very competent, friendly and accommodating. If you are a frequent customer some waiters will remember your order. They don’t even mind all my paleo-friendly substitutions.
They serve their hot drinks in custom-made mugs which they also offer for sale – the mugs come in beautiful glaze colors.
The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. I would recommend their soups, which are always fresh and taste home-made. I also love their coffee which is served in a pitcher, so you don’t need to wait for a refill. They offer a cup to go as well, that not all restaurants do.
If I had to offer a criticism, it would be that there are not enough choices for the Paleo foodie. A lot of breakfast dishes contain gluten and refined sugar. Even their chicken salad tastes very sweet.
My favorite time of year to visit the restaurant is in the summer, when you can have a meal on their patio. The little fountain surrounded by pretty plantings brings a feeling of peace and tranquility.

Spot on with this write-up, I absolutely think this amazing site needs a great
deal more attention. I’ll probably be returning to read through more, thanks for the advice!
